Granite-Lady Helen
Granite–Lady Helen gold – silver - copper prospects are associated with high level felsic porphyry intrusives, rimming the Lodestone Monzogranite, west of Halls Creek. The style of mineralisation is similar to the Nicholson's Find gold deposit, southwest of Halls Creek, and includes epithermal caprock at Lady Helen Prospect containing strongly anomalous rock chip values of 44 g/t Au and 34 g/t Ag. A series of sheeted quartz veins at the Granite Prospect occur within an extensive hydrothermal alteration halo associated with the monzogranite.
The mesothermal quartz veins assay up to 11.5 g/t Au, 9.5 g/t Ag and 380 ppm Cu, and occur within an extensive 7.5 km x 1.5 km soil geochemical anomaly. The anomalous area has only been investigated by shallow RAB & RC drilling with one RC hole returning 9 m @ 0.3 g/t Au & 0.3% Cu from 34 m. The gold plant at Nicholson’s Find is currently under care and maintenance.
The mineralised northern margin of the Lodestone Monzogranite approximates the interpreted "Tanami Gold Trend" that also includes epigenetic gold mineralisation at Bent Ridge and the "Old Halls Creek" gold camp, to the southeast.
