Non Executive Chairman
Mr John Gow is a mining engineer with a distinguished track record in the mining industry both in Australia and southern Africa. Mr Gow brings mine start-up and management skills to the Company that will be crucial to the development of projects that are either currently held or will be potentially acquired by the company.
Mr Gow is a mining engineer with over 35 years of experience in the mining industry both in Australia and southern Africa. Mr Gow has designed, developed and managed gold, nickel and base metal mines in Australia, Southern Africa and Fiji. His professional development has included senior mine management positions on various large gold, nickel, copper and vanadium mines, and has required operational, technical and financial skills. Recent mining consulting services to several resource companies have involved feasibility studies, joint venture advice and managing optimisation studies. Highlights include assisting with a pre feasibility study on the Morobe Gold Project. New Guinea and coordinating most aspects of the feasibility study for the Koolyanobbing (Iron ore) Mine upgrade.
Mr Gow was on the Board of two listed public Companies between 1993 and 2000 and is currently a councillor with the Cambridge City Council in Perth. He has an excellent understanding of the mining industry and good corporate credentials.
Dr Craig Rugless BSc, PhD, MAusIMM, MAIG, MSEG, MAAG
Managing Director
Dr. Craig Rugless is an economic geologist and geochemist who has wide ranging experience in exploring for a variety of commodities in Australia and Oceania. He has developed innovative MAGLAG & MAGSTREAM geochemical methodologies using the MAGSAM® rare earth magnetic sampler that is gaining favour as a new exploration technique in the mining industry.
Dr. Rugless has over 35 years of wide ranging experience in Exploration and project development in Australia and Oceania and 9 years as the director of a public company. Dr Rugless has been involved with the management of Exploration programs that contributed to the location of significant precious and base metal mineralisatlon in Kalgoorlie in the Eastern Goldfields, Mt. Gibson in the Murchison Goldflelds, the East Kimberley and the West Pilbara in Western Australia. Dr Rugless has developed a successful consultancy providing specialized services to the mining and exploration industries. Experience has been gained in a variety of geological terrains, involving most styles of rnineralisation, including epithermal gold - silver deposits (Old, Fiji), epigenetic gold deposits (WA goldfields, Ghana & Canada), platinum group metals (PGM) associated with layered mafic/ultramafic complexes (Kimberley & Pilbara –WA, South Africa, USA), komatiitic and gabbroid style nickel – copper – cobalt deposits (Goldfields & Kimberley – WA, Canada, USA), stratabound SEDEX zinc – lead deposits (Mt. Isa and Broken Hill) and volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) copper – zinc – lead – gold - silver deposits (Goldfields, Kimberley & Pilbara – WA, Fiji, Canada).
Dr. Rugless holds a Ph.D degree from the University of NSW and is a member of a number of professional organizations including the AusIMM & AIG. He is the current secretary of the Specialist Group in Applied Geochemistry, a specialist group of the Geological Society of Australia, and has given a number of scientific papers at international conferences in Australia, Canada, Chile and New Zealand. Dr Rugless has been a past Principal Lecturer of the Mining and Exploration Course in the Securities Institute diploma course and has been a non-executive director of a public company involved in the successful development of a gold mine in Australia. Non Executive Director & Joint Company Secretary
Mr John Chegwidden is an accountant with a strong knowledge of the mining and resources sector in Australia and has an enviable track record in being able to create junior companies.
Mr Chegwidden has over 20 years experience as an accountant, including managing his own chartered accounting practice, providing advice in management, accounting and taxation, and consulting to manufacturing, mining, primary production and earthmoving operations. Mr Chegwidden has a strong knowledge of the mining and resources sector in Australia, with key competencies in Exploration, materials processing; marketing and financial management in relation to junior mining companies. More recently he has consulted to a number of listed companies and negotiated with capital financiers for junior Exploration companies. Mr Chegwidden has been a founding Director and Company Secretary on two successfully listed public mining companies.
Carol New
Joint Company Secretary
Carol has over 27 years experience working in national retail and WA mineral exploration companies in accounting and administration roles. Carol was employed for ten years by Coles Myer. During this time she gained experience in the accounting, statistical, internal audit, and legal and company secretarial departments. She then worked with Barrack House Group Limited where she performed accounting functions, established office protocols for the controlling entity as well as several of its subsidiary companies, and controlled the data entry for the money market.
In late 1993, she was employed by Central Kalgoorlie Gold Mines NL as Administration Manager. This position required the preparation of all financial information, human relations, tenement management and public reporting. In September 2003, she was invited to consult to Crescent Gold Limited where she held the positions of Director, Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer. She resigned from her positions with Crescent on 4 December 2006. In late December 2006, Carol was invited to consult to Hazelwood Resources Ltd in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer and was appointed as Joint Company Secretary on 16 February 2007. She was appointed as Joint Company Secretary at 3D Resources Limited in April 2007. Carol is currently undertaking university studies and is an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Secretaries of Australia.
